Founded in 2011, Comix Wellspring began as a comic focused print service inside a small commercial printer with one clear mission: support indie comic creators the right way.
What started as a specialized offering quickly grew into a trusted partner for creators across the comic industry. As more artists and publishers looked for a printer that understood the craft, the deadlines, and the business, we grew alongside them. We became known for quality, consistency, and a genuine connection to the creator community.
In 2021, we nearly tripled in size by doubling down on exceptional customer service, reliable production, and long term relationships. That growth reflected the strength of the indie comics market and the power of creators supporting creators.
Today, we continue to expand with the same energy and optimism that shaped our beginning. Our mission remains clear: empower creators to bring their stories to life and help move the comic industry forward through quality, innovation, and partnership.

Over the years, we’ve printed first books, tenth books, zines to anthologies, convention exclusives, crowdfunding rewards, retail-ready runs, and collector editions. We’ve helped creators hit deadlines, recover from mistakes, pivot at the last minute, and scale when momentum finally arrives.
